I will eventually get around to writing up a full terms-of-usage regarding my work, but in the mean time:
You should not use work that is not yours that you do not explicit permission to use. This includes art of all forms: drawings, paintings (regardless of medium), writing, layout codes, photographs, designs, etc. In the real world, plagiarism is a serious offense, and can cause you to be expelled from college/school, lose your job, etc. Bottom line? Don’t do it!
In terms of my own art, unless other wise posted, it is not allowed to be used by the general public. Most of my art is either commissioned work, or work I’ve done for other websites, and it therefore belongs to said websites. If you steal it, it could result in icky legal drama, and I’m really a nonconfronational person and rather not get involved in something that can be prevented.
On most of my recent stuff you will notice I do not put watermarks on them. I do this mostly due to laziness, but if I have to, I will start doing so again. You will notice most things contain a signature of sorts– either my name, my website, or my online aliases. The removal of these is not allowed, and removing them from the work does not make said work yours.
When you rip off art work commissioned from me, you are double-whammying, as not only are you stealing from me, but the commissioner. Character theft is art theft, and you will see most commissioned work includes specific characters belonging to the commissioners. Don’t steal from them, don’t steal from me.
Regarding free art (which I will put back up eventually), you may use this as you wish as long as you share-alike. This means that while you may alter it as you wish, it must remain free for use, so you maynot sell works derived from it. Nor may you claim you made it. You can take owership of any additions/designs you make using the art, but nothing more.
If anyone has any questions regarding my art, you may message me or comment here, and I will answer as I notice said messages.
